We take our service capability very seriously – just ask any of our customers! We have great turnaround times to get your bike tuned up any time of year. Many people are curious about what we do for a tune-up so let’s outline the process for what we call our basic tune up.
We do TUNE UPS!
First, we Inspect the bike with the customer to determine what if any components have been a problem. If anything is obvious we try to make recommendations on the spot. Any parts that you might need that are drivetrain related will come with a 20% discount if needed to accomplish a correct tune-up. What we are talking about are brake pads, rotors, cables and chains… all at 20% off. Next, we lube and wipe the entire bike down to look for any issues to report such as cracking paint, welds, cable breaks, rim or tire issues and so on… Inflation on tires is checked as well as Truing the wheels in the frame. We adjust all cables for brakes and align pads. Adjust rim to brake closure and reset cable length for correct pull and even pad landing. Both derailleurs are then adjusted to optimize efficient shifting and noise reduction with cable and limit screw adjustments. The chain and driveline components are lubed and thoroughly wiped down to remove excess lubrication. The crank in the Bottom Bracket is checked and adjusted to ensure proper spec torque. The headset is adjusted to maintain tight smooth operation. A safety check is then performed to ensure that all handlebar, stem, seatpost, wheel, saddle, pedal, fork and grip sections are solid. If we discover any special issues on the bike during service we will call the customer to discuss. Any questions? Give us a call!
